Human Development
Have you ever wondered why preschoolers ask so many questions, why do teenagers require more sleep, or why older adults seem so reflective? If so, this is the class for you! We will look at God’s wonderful design of human growth from conception to death. We will dive into experiential learning and development physically, socially, emotionally, and mentally in each stage of life which will lead to a better understanding of self and others. This class will meet the ½ credit of health that is required for a Michigan High School diploma.
Grades:
8th-12th

Robotics Lab
Robotics Lab will provide an opportunity for students to learn how to code the Edison Robot using the Python coding language. Students will apply the Engineering Design Process to design challenges. Robots are all around us in daily life as well as in many workplaces. The goal of this class is to give students a basic understanding of coding and robotics to prepare them for further study.
Grades:
6th-8th

Physical Science
This is a one year two semester course primarily for 8th graders (or 9th graders who need a stronger science foundation). Some topics include: The atmosphere, the hydrosphere, weather, the structure of the earth, environmentalism, the physics of motion, Newton’s Laws, gravity, forces in creation, and sound waves.
Grades:
8th-9th

Exploring Creation with Science Lower
I love how science points continuously to God our creator! It is exciting to be able to teach children about God’s creation and in that process learn more about God and His handiwork. The science topics will be on a 4-year rotation. They do not build on each other. Any loop can be taken at any time. Class time will
always include hands on experiments, demonstrations, and games to reinforce the learning. Between class times students will be expected to complete the reading and the homework. As a homeschooling mom, I know you are the educator and feel my responsibility is to provide the framework, experiments, group work, and basic knowledge to assist you in your child’s education.
Grades:
6-8yrs

Physics
This laboratory-based course gives the student an introduction to the basics of physics, such as Newton’s Laws of Motion, Newton’s Law of Universal Gravitation, work, energy, and power, waves, sound, and light, electrical potential, electric fields, circuits, resistance, and current, magnetism, and magnetic fields.
Grades:
10th-12th

Biology
This laboratory-based high school biology gives the student an introduction to how living organisms are designed, how they interact with one another, and how they interact with their physical environment. Throughout the course, students see that life is the result of design and that organisms have been given the ability to adapt to their surroundings. In addition, they learn various problems associated with the modern evolutionary synthesis.
