Science
Middle School Earth Science
Join us as we investigate and discover God’s creation all around us. Students will be active and engaged with experiments and games while learning all about God’s magnificent Earth: geology, lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, meteorology, astronomy, and much more.
Grades:
6th-8th
Physics
This laboratory-based course gives the student an introduction to the basics of physics, such as Newton’s Laws of Motion, Newton’s Law of Universal Gravitation, work, energy, and power, waves, sound, and light, electrical potential, electric fields, circuits, resistance, and current, magnetism, and magnetic fields.
Grades:
10th-12th
Exploring Creation with Science Upper
I love how science points continuously to God our creator! It is exciting to be able to teach children about God’s creation and in that process learn more about God and His handiwork. The science topics will be on a 4-year rotation. They do not build on each other. Any loop can be taken at any time. Class time will
always include hands on experiments, demonstrations, and games to reinforce the learning. Between class times students will be expected to complete the reading and the homework. As a homeschooling mom, I know you are the educator and feel my responsibility is to provide the framework, experiments, group work, and basic knowledge to assist you in your child’s education.
Grades:
9-12yrs
Chemistry
This laboratory-based high school chemistry course covers fundamental aspects of chemistry. Combining concepts and their mathematical applications, the course teaches students how to think as a chemist so they can analyze the major changes that occur in matter. Qualitative and quantitative experiments will be performed. Throughout the course, the student is shown how chemistry reveals the amazing design that exists all around us. From the details of atomic structure to the makeup of the very air that we breathe, chemistry shows us the marvelous handiwork of God.
Grades:
9th-12th
Biology
This laboratory-based high school biology gives the student an introduction to how living organisms are designed, how they interact with one another, and how they interact with their physical environment. Throughout the course, students see that life is the result of design and that organisms have been given the ability to adapt to their surroundings. In addition, they learn various problems associated with the modern evolutionary synthesis.

Human Development
Have you ever wondered why preschoolers ask so many questions, why do teenagers require more sleep, or why older adults seem so reflective? If so, this is the class for you! We will look at God’s wonderful design of human growth from conception to death. We will dive into experiential learning and development physically, socially, emotionally, and mentally in each stage of life which will lead to a better understanding of self and others. This class will meet the ½ credit of health that is required for a Michigan High School diploma.
Grades:
8th-12th
Robotics Lab
Robotics Lab will provide an opportunity for students to learn how to code the Edison Robot using the EdPy coding language. Robots are all around us in daily life as well as in many workplaces. The goal of this class is to give students a basic understanding of coding and robotics to prepare them for further study.
