Students will study famous artists and musical composers from the Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and the 20th Century/Postmodern eras. There will be a variety of art projects to go along with each history lesson.
We will be creating an art project relating to the artist of the day and listening to the music of the composer of that era and country. This course qualifies as a History credit as well as an art credit.

Students will be perfecting drawing and painting skills. First semester will concentrate on drawing. We will study graphite, charcoal, colored pencil and soft pastel. Second semester will concentrate on painting. We will study watercolor, gouache, and acrylic painting.

Students will be studying a variety of art forms including drawing, pastels, watercolor, acrylic painting, paper crafting, and sculpting.
