Students will read the text from scripture. Work to memorize through a few different methods to retain and keep for a legacy of kingdom building using song, movement and writing.
Class time will be active working through all 150 psalms memorizing key passages.

This is a beginner sewing class that will start at the very beginning with how to operate your sewing machine, including threading the machine, tension, and common stitches. Over the course of the school year you will make many projects that will advance your skills. We will start with small projects that will increase your knowledge and build your confidence. We will then end the year with making several wearable garments. Skills learned will include but are not limited to: sewing machine operation, reading patterns, proper cutting techniques, utilizing different stitches, working with different material, accurate measuring and marking, how to hold a seam allowance, and so much more. This course will take you from novice to making your own tailored clothes.

This high school level Algebra 1 course consists of lectures, homework assignments, problem set reviews, weekly quizzes and/or tests, group work, and mathematical journaling. Excellent instructor!

To help students understand our country’s exceptional history and values which are being ignored, distorted, or discarded in today’s educational culture.

Our program was modified last year from Taekwondo to Karate in order to provide a martial arts program for students to achieve any level of proficiency they desire. The system being taught is Tatsu Te Ryu Karate-Do and is based in Shotokan Karate.

This is an honors course that covers both the anatomy and physiology of each of the human body’s organ systems for those students
who have successfully completed high school biology.

This high school level college preparatory Algebra 2 course consists of lectures, homework assignments, problem set reviews, weekly quizzes and/or tests, group work, and mathematical journaling. Algebra 1 is a prerequisite of this course.

Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the richness of America’s literary heritage through studying the life and times of authors and the significance of their works. This class fulfills the Michigan graduation requirement for American Literature, English, or an elective.

Designed to help students become more advanced writers while preparing them for college writing, as well as doing some prep work for the writing portions of the ACT, the AP exam, the CLEP test, and the Accuplacer exam at KVCC. A class that will not disappoint!

This United States Government course will motivate and infect students with a lifetime appetite to understand and participate in the proper functioning of the government at the Federal, state, and local levels.

A survey of Christian apologetics based on the “Understanding the Faith” curriculum from Summit Ministries. The course focuses on theology and giving “reason(s) for the hope” we have in Christ (1 Peter 3:15).
