Chase Garrett
Biblical Worldview and Apologetics
“Understanding the Faith is a fast-track, fast-paced theological education for those who want to understand God and his world in a profound way and share their faith intelligently with unbelievers. Theology and apologetics aren’t just academic exercises for pastors and church leaders; we are all “ambassadors
for Christ” (2 Cor. 5:20) charged with giving “reason[s] for the hope” we have in him (1 Peter. 3:15). Pressing questions about life and faith deserve thoughtful answers.”

This course is designed for middle school students interested in the field of Christian apologetics - the defense of the Christian faith. Throughout the year we will be studying introductory works such as: Mere
Christianity by C.S. Lewis, More than a Carpenter by Josh McDowell and The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel, among others. The goal of this first year is to introduce students to core topics and provide them with tools to defend their faith “with gentleness and respect” (cf. 1 Peter 3:15).
